Engaging young people aged 14-16 through practical, hands-on learning in a safe and welcoming environment
The Hunslet Club's Alternative Education initiative is designed to engage young people aged 14-16 through practical, hands-on learning in a safe and welcoming environment. Our programme helps participants develop skills for positive outcomes, including re-engagement with their school, further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Our Vocational Development Programme gives young people aged 14–16 the opportunity to study subjects that genuinely interest them, in small class sizes with dedicated tutor support — building the skills, confidence, and social awareness they need to move into a positive future.
Our programmes are entirely learner-centred with individualised timetables tailored to each student's needs and interests. We don't just provide the skills and knowledge required to succeed in an educational setting - we also teach the social and emotional skills needed to flourish in the workplace.
We deliver accredited qualifications across 11 vocational areas, giving young people real-world skills and recognised credentials that open doors to future opportunities.
