The club’s junior football section currently has 16 teams. They play competitive football here in Leeds, covering an age range of 18 months through to open age. Everyone is welcome to join in our training sessions (teams train twice weekly – see our timetable for details of dates and times) If you do not want to be part of one of our league teams, it’s also a great way to keep active and make new friends as well as improving your footie skills!
The Hunslet Club is an FA Charter Standard Club. We are an official partner of Leeds United Football Club and the West Yorkshire County Football Association. As a result we have established links with talent scouts from other professional clubs. Moreover, we are registered with the FA Respect Campaign to combat unacceptable behaviour in the game at every level – on the pitch and from the sidelines. Our coaching staff and volunteers are FA qualified and are all DBS checked when appointed. There is also a first aid certificate holder at all sessions.
Our successes include winning the West Riding FA Charter Standard Club of the Year 2013.
Football for Tots
Football for Tots (18months – 4 years) is a parent-led structured play session. We focus on building confidence to participate fully in every session while contributing to their physical, educational, emotional and social development. It is also ideal for improving cognitive skills such as co-ordination, problem solving and balance. Our enthusiastic coaches ensure this is a fun session, and little ones feel supported every step of the way!
Our girls only team welcomes ages 10 to 14. To join, simply just come along to the ‘football girls only’ session (see timetable) and get started. Further more, we are always welcoming newcomers whether you are looking to join a team or start a new hobby.
What to wear
Shorts, tee-shirt, tracksuit, football boots (no metal studs) and shin pads (excluding Tots). If you have trouble accessing the appropriate kit visit: https://www.zerowasteleeds.org.uk/
